So....

Apparently in 10 days I am checking in for my College Program. Holy Shit! Really?!?!?! That doesn't seem possible, wasn't it just the other day that I was interviewing for my position? That also means that I leave in 6 days and need to get the last of my stuff packed (or at least what I can for this move, and more packed for the January move)

I cannot believe that time has gone this quickly. It seems like just the other day my husband was starting his new job and we were discussing if my moving to Florida would be a good thing or if I should start looking for a full time job around here. I am pretty confident that we have made the right decision for us, even though a bunch of people think I am nuts. But Chris is already gone during the week for work and is just home on Saturdays (if we are lucky) so really the on difference is the place he flies home to. Illinois or Florida. Either was as long as we are together we know that we are doing what is right for us.

I am also working on putting together my list of what I have packed for sure that is going down with me. Alot has changed since my first list, but looking at what I have been thinking about taking and the size of my car some changes have needed to be made. Plus I need to have room for my brother and his fiance to fit in the car plus their one suitcase.

We have an awesome surprise set up for them once we get into Orlando. But I am not going to post it here on the off chance that they inadvertently find my blog between now and then. Because if this surprise gets ruined I will be mad at whoever blows it and sad cuz I am not good at keeping these things in. :)

But on that note it is time for me to head back to taking care of these things. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening. It may be a few days until I get a chance to update but I am sure you guys will forgive me.

Big TV = keeping us entertained
Kelly (my sister), Courtney (my best friend) and myself at World Of Disney. Apparently there was something good on the TV.

"Years of planning and long hours of work have brought about this historic moment. It will be an experience none of us forget. A this time, I think it is appropriate that we remember Walt's quote "You can dream, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to the dream a reality."You, the cast, are responsible for making Walt's dream come true...yesterday, today and tomorrow"

Getting Closer and Closer.....

The days just keep ticking by quicker and quicker. With my luck the 25th will get here and I won't have anything done (or at least feel like I have nothing done)

Yesterday my husband and I picked up our Keurig which made me smile. I love it just due to the fact that I can make one cup of coffee at a time and it doesn't have to be the same cup for everyone who uses the machine. Plus I can make tea and hot chocolate on it. What more can a girl ask for? Oh yea, for it to be on sale. lol It was already marked down, plus Kohl's was having one of their early bird sales so we got an additional 10% off and then they emailed me a 20% off coupon so in total I got 30% off the sale price that was already $20 less than the original. No complaints here. :) I love it when coupons work out for me.

This week I am going to concentrate and packing the clothes that I won't need for the next few weeks and also looking for my blue pass. Apparently if you are going to try and get people in the parks it helps to have your blue pass. Who woulda guessed? ;-)

Plus I need to make sure I have clothes for the weekend that I am going to be spending with my brother, his fiancee, and my husband before I check in to the program. It's been a few years since his fiancee has been to the parks and its been 13 years since my brother set foot in the parks. The closest to him being in the parks since then was 5 years ago when he drove with me down for my first program. We went down to Downtown Disney because that was about all we could do. I wasn't cool enough to have my tickets or discounts yet, so I am making up for it this trip. =) I am excited though. He hasn't been to Animal Kingdom and now he enjoys riding roller coasters so there are so many more things that we can do that he wasn't able to do 13 years ago.

I am still working on making my final list of things that need to go with me, beyond the obvious. I am debating on my Cricut. It is an awesome little machine that I can use to cut things out with. If it goes with me my sister's Mickey cartridge is going and my Tinker Bell cartridge is going to go also. I am not quite sure what I can really use it for because I don't know how much free time for scrapbooking I am going to have, but I know that if I leave it at home I will think of things that I could have used it for. So I figure I would rather have it and not need it, then want to use it and not have it. Nothing more frustrating than that.

I also just realized that I only have 2 more shifts left at Old Navy and only 2 1/2 more weeks left at my college bookstore and then I am done. It feels weird to say that. I have been with Old Navy off and on for 8 years and at the college for 2 years. So it's like leaving more of my family behind, just a weird feeling.

But on that note. I need to stop rambling and get to working on what I said I would.

Courtney's Cake
This entries picture is from my best friend Courtney's wedding in Nov 2008. She was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding and we were able to time our honeymoon around her wedding so I could share her day with her. =)

Packing.......Oh So Much Fun!

Right...... I am sure everyone of you can hear the sarcasm!

So far I feel as though I have nothing packed. Even though I look around and see boxes of stuff!!!

Pretty much as of right now I have the majority of my DVDs that are going with me packed, my bedding, my swim stuff, my towels, and my hoodies packed. Beyond that I don't have much else done. I have some stuff put back in their original boxes but those boxes now need to be packed. lol Otherwise I will just be carrying a bunch of smaller boxes into my apartment. Which might end up being what happens. Here in a few weeks I will be able to start packing my clothes, but until then I get to feel really really unorganized and unpacked. Ugh.

I did dig out my bag of name tags that is going to go with me. Since I have a really bad habit of forgetting my name tag I have managed to acquire a few that I can use in the case of emergencies! So that is one thing that needs to be packed.

So far though I have also have been given a small stick vacuum for my apartment (because I am too lazy to go to the front desk to borrow one), bought a light that can either go in my bedroom or in the living room that has a reading lamp on it so I can just use that to read and hopefully not disturb anybody (too much), a blender that has a spigot on it so you can dispense the drink without taking the blender off of the base, a small George Foreman grill, my Mickey Mouse trash can and a small tumbler for the bathroom, my laundry hamper, and I made a really cool memo board for my bedroom. I am also bringing a toaster oven with me because I love toast and that is one thing that doesn't come with the apartment. Something else I recommend is a Brita water pitcher (or Pur) because the water in Florida has a sulfur taste to it and can be gross (especially if you are not used to it) I know I am probably missing some things that I have already picked up, but I will be posting an updated list here in the next few days, once I make a complete inventory of what I have and what I need.

But on that note I am going to stop rambling on. And I will leave you with another picture of something to look forward to in September and October at Walt Disney World. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I love going to these when I can. They are so much fun, and some of the characters are dressed up in Halloween costumes. Plus it is one of the few times you get to see Snow White with all seven of the Dwarfs and one of the few times you can get pictures with the Villians.

Haunted Mansion Pet Cemetary
This is the Pet Cemetery at the end of Haunted Mansion and how it looks during the Halloween parties!!!

24 days til I leave for Florida and 28 days until I check in.

Until next time,

Sharon
